  • Please be aware of the following that comes into effect from 1 August 2020:

    If you are over the age of 25 and are planning to apply for a Level 2 Apprenticeship you must be employed in your current job role for less than 6 months at the start of your apprenticeship. If you are planning to apply for a Level 3 Apprenticeship you must be employed in your current job role for less than 12 months at the start of your apprenticeship. This does not apply to those under the age of 25.

    This criteria does not apply to Higher Apprenticeships level 4 and above.
  • Apprenticeships in Wales are funded through the Welsh Government. All training providers must undertake Health & Safety vetting & monitoring on employers who wish to recruit an apprentice. The length and frequency of these checks will depend on the size of the employer and the risk banding linked to the company activity.
