Mae cystadlaethau WorldSkills UK yn ymgorffori rhagoriaeth mewn dros 40 o sgiliau ac yn cefnogi dysgwyr a phrentisiaid i ddatblygu’r sgiliau technegol o’r radd flaenaf a fydd yn galluogi dysgwyr i ffynnu a chyflogwyr i dyfu.

I gefnogi’r myfyrwyr a’r prentisiaid yn eu hyfforddiant ar gyfer y rowndiau terfynol cenedlaethol, mae WorldSkills UK yn darparu adnoddau a digwyddiadau meincnodi, trwy ei blatfform ar-lein, The Learning Lab.

“Mae’n hyfryd gweld pymtheg o’n myfyrwyr a’n prentisiaid yn cyrraedd rowndiau terfynol cenedlaethol WorldSkills UK. Maen nhw wedi gweithio’n galed iawn, gan ddangos eu rhagoriaeth sgiliau, eu hymroddiad a’u gwydnwch. Rydyn ni’n hynod falch ohonyn nhw, ac yn dymuno’r gorau iddyn nhw wrth iddyn nhw gystadlu ar dir cartref, wrth i Rowndiau Terfynol WorldSkills UK ddod i Gymru am y tro cyntaf erioed.”

“Rydym hefyd wrth ein bodd i fod yn un o’r lleoliadau i gynnal y rowndiau terfynol. Edrychwn ymlaen at groesawu’r rhai sydd wedi cyrraedd y rowndiau terfynol o bob cwr o’r DU ac arddangos y cyfleusterau eithriadol sydd gennym yng Ngholeg Penybont.”

Viv Buckley, Pennaeth a Phrif Weithredwr Coleg Penybont

Mae’r cyhoeddiad ynghylch y rhai sydd wedi cyrraedd y rowndiau terfynol eleni yn adeiladu ar lwyddiant y Coleg mewn cystadlaethau sgiliau, gyda thri o fyfyrwyr Coleg Penybont, Melody Cheung, George Hedges a Jac Brisland sydd hefyd yn cymryd rhan mewn rhaglen hyfforddi ddwys 18 mis, gyda’r nod o gael eu dewis i gynrychioli’r DU yn WorldSkills Shanghai.

“Llongyfarchiadau i fyfyrwyr a phrentisiaid Coleg Penybont ar gyrraedd rowndiau terfynol cenedlaethol WorldSkills UK. Mae ein cystadlaethau yn profi sgiliau dysgwyr yn erbyn safonau diwydiant byd-eang, gan ddarparu llwyfan pwerus i arddangos eu doniau. Dros dri diwrnod dwys o gystadlu, byddan nhw’n meithrin sgiliau a hyder gwerthfawr a fydd yn rhoi hwb i’w gyrfaoedd ac yn gwneud economi’r DU yn fwy cystadleuol.

“Gyda chyflogwyr ledled y DU yn galw am sgiliau o ansawdd uchel, mae hwn yn gyfle gwych i gannoedd o ddysgwyr ddangos eu bod yn barod ar gyfer byd gwaith. Edrychaf ymlaen at weld y rhai sydd wedi cyrraedd y rowndiau terfynol ar waith.”
