Lansio Academi Newydd i Rymuso’r Genhedlaeth Nesaf i Ysgogi Newid yng Nghymru

Mae Coleg Penybont yn falch o bartneru â Swyddfa Comisiynydd Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol, Y Brifysgol Agored yng Nghymru ac Unloc, i lansio Newid – Academi Ysgogi Newid Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol. Mae’r fenter arloesol hon wedi’i chynllunio i rymuso pobl ifanc ledled Cymru i arwain newid systemig a llunio dyfodol cynaliadwy, yn unol â Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol (Cymru).

Gweledigaeth yr Academi yw galluogi newid systemig drwy rymuso pobl ifanc i arwain eu dyfodol eu hunain. Drwy greu cyfleoedd i gyfranogwyr ysgogi gweithredu lleol a chenedlaethol ar y 7 Nod Llesiant, nod y rhaglen yw llenwi bwlch hanfodol i ddysgwyr Addysg Bellach (AB) 16–25 oed. Mae’r llwybr newydd hwn yn cysylltu arweinyddiaeth ar lefel ysgol ag Academi Arweinyddiaeth Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol genedlaethol sefydledig i’r rhai 18–30 oed, sydd eisoes wedi’i sefydlu gan Swyddfa Comisiynydd Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol.

Bydd cyfranogwyr yn cymryd rhan mewn rhaglen sylfaenol gynhwysfawr sy’n cynnwys hyfforddiant arweinyddiaeth, meddwl yn feirniadol, a chyfiawnder cymdeithasol. Mae’r model cyflawni yn cynnwys cymysgedd o brofiadau trochi a digidol, gan gynnwys y ffocws ar brosiectau sy’n ysgogi newid, wedi’u cynllunio i gyflawni newid pendant ac ystyrlon ar lefel leol a chenedlaethol, mewn ymateb i rai o’r heriau mwyaf y mae pobl ifanc yn eu hwynebu. Gobeithio y bydd digwyddiad terfynol yn cael ei gynnal yn y Senedd, lle bydd y rhai sy’n ysgogi newid yn arddangos eu prosiectau i lunwyr polisi a llunwyr penderfyniadau.

Y tu hwnt i ddatblygiad personol, mae’r Academi wedi ymrwymo i amrywiaeth, gan sicrhau bod pobl ifanc sydd leiaf tebygol o ymgysylltu â chymdeithas ehangach yn cael cyfle a llwyfan i godi llais, gan eu grymuso trwy eu prosiectau ysgogi newid eu hunain i wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol a gwella materion cymdeithasol sydd bwysicaf iddynt.

Dywedodd Derek Walker, Comisiynydd Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol:

“Rhaid i lunio dyfodol gwell i Gymru fod yn flaenoriaeth frys a chyfunol a dyna pam rydyn ni mor falch o gefnogi’r cynllun peilot hwn, Newid, menter sy’n cyd-fynd yn agos â’r effaith hirdymor rydyn ni’n ymdrechu i’w chael fel tîm.

“Mae newid go iawn, parhaol yn digwydd pan fyddwn yn buddsoddi mewn pobl ifanc ac yn mwyhau eu lleisiau, a thrwy gefnogi eu syniadau a’u harweinyddiaeth heddiw, rydym yn helpu i feithrin Cymru fwy gwyrdd, cynhwysol a ffyniannus ar gyfer y cenedlaethau i ddod.”

Dywedodd Joe Baldwin, Dirprwy Bennaeth Coleg Penybont:

“Ni fu erioed amser pwysicach i rymuso pobl ifanc i ddod o hyd i’w lleisiau a gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i’w dyfodol ac i’w cymunedau. Mae Newid yn cynrychioli uchafbwynt mwy na blwyddyn o gydweithio a chynllunio gyda phartneriaid, gyda phobl ifanc yn llunio’r academi – rydym wrth ein bodd ein bod wedi lansio’r cynllun peilot.”

Dywedodd Dr Donna Smith, Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Gwleidyddiaeth yn y Brifysgol Agored:

“Mae’r cydweithrediad hwn yn adeiladu ar ein hymchwil Heriau Cymdeithasol Agored i’r Rhai sy’n Ysgogi Newid ac adnoddau hyb Dinasyddiaeth Weithredol ar ddemocratiaeth. Fel arweinydd ymchwil a gwerthuso, edrychwn ymlaen at ddarparu argymhellion sy’n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth ar gyfer y cyfnod ôl-beilot a chefnogi pobl ifanc wrth iddynt ddatblygu’r sgiliau a’r hyder i ysgogi newid gwleidyddol a chymdeithasol.”
