Introduction

1.1 The terms and conditions detailed in this document govern the access and use of the bridgend.ac.uk website. The Bridgend College website will be referred to in this document as the ‘Site’.

Website Operator

The Site is operated by Bridgend College, which will be referred to in this document as ‘BC’, and which is based at Cowbridge Road, Bridgend.

Licence

3.1 BC gives you permission to use the Site on the terms and conditions detailed in this document.

3.2 BC may withdraw its permission for you to use the Site at any time without giving you any warning.

Materials on the site

4.1 The Site may contain material which is owned by BC or which BC has been given permission to use. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. It is protected by numerous laws.

7.2 Except as detailed in clause 7.3, BC will not be responsible to you in any circumstance whatsoever for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of these terms include, pure economic loss, loss of profits (whether direct loss or indirect loss), loss of business, depletion of goodwill and any similar loss) however caused in connection with the use of the Site or the use or relying on any information or other materials contained in the Site.

7.3 BC will be responsible to you for personal injury and/ or death resulting from BC’s negligence or fraud. BC will also be liable to you for any matter which it cannot legally exclude.

8.1 BC will monitor use of the Site. BC may at any time remove any information which it considers to be inappropriate.

8.2 Despite BC’s right to monitor and remove information from the Site as detailed in clause 8.1, BC is not responsible for any materials produced by registered users of the Site and shall have no liability in relation to the content of such materials. Materials produced by registered users of the Site are the sole responsibility of the registered user who produced such materials.

12.1 The Site is controlled and operated by BC. These terms and conditions and any dispute in relation to the materials contained in the Site shall be governed by English law as applied in Wales. Any disputes which may arise in connection with these terms and conditions or use of the Site will be settled by the English and Welsh courts which will have exclusive jurisdiction.

12.2 Your continued use of the Site indicates that you agree to these terms and conditions.
