Coleg Penybont yn arwyddo Cyfamod sydd â’r nod o gefnogi’r rheiny sydd wedi gwasanaethu yn y Lluoedd Arfog

Mae Coleg Penybont yn falch o fod wedi arwyddo Cyfamod y Lluoedd Arfog yn swyddogol mewn digwyddiad a roddodd gyfle i gyflogwyr a sefydliadau lleol archwilio sut y gallant ddarparu cefnogaeth amhrisiadwy i’r rheiny sydd wedi gwasanaethu yn y Lluoedd Arfog. Addewid yw’r Cyfamod y Lluoedd Arfog, a wneir gan sefydliadau i gefnogi’r rheiny sydd wedi gwasanaethu a’u teuluoedd, i’w trin â thegwch a pharch, ac i sicrhau bod ganddynt fynediad cyfartal i gyfleoedd.

Mynychwyd y digwyddiad, a gynhaliwyd ar Gampws Pencoed y Coleg, gan aelodau o’r Lluoedd Arfog, gan gynnwys yr Uwchgapten Craig Middle, Cyfarwyddwr Ymgysylltu â Chyflogwyr Rhanbarthol Rheoli Cysylltiadau Amddiffyn, a’r Cadlywydd Adain Michael Sherburn, Swyddog Ymgysylltu â Chyflogwyr Rhanbarthol yr Awyr (AREEO) Cymru. Yn ogystal, roedd nifer o gyn-filwyr yn bresennol i roi mewnwelediad gwerthfawr i’r sgiliau y gallant eu cynnig i’r gweithle. Cynhaliwyd y digwyddiad mewn partneriaeth â’r elusen Active4Blood, sy’n gweithio fel sefydliad dylanwadol allweddol i helpu i achub bywydau trwy gefnogi gwasanaeth gwaed y genedl ac yn y pen draw y rhai hynny sydd angen rhodd gwaed i achub bywyd.

Fe wnaeth y digwyddiad hefyd ddarparu trosolwg o raglen TEACH Coleg Penybont, sy’n helpu cyn-filwyr i drosglwyddo i fywyd sifil drwy harneisio’r profiadau a’r sgiliau trosglwyddadwy helaeth y maen nhw wedi’u hennill a darparu llwybr iddynt i rolau addysg, hyfforddiant ac asesu ledled Cymru. Mae hyn yn cynnwys cwrs Addysg a Hyfforddiant Lefel 4, gan gynnwys dyfarniad Sicrhau Ansawdd Lefel 4, rôl gwirfoddoli 12-mis gydag Active4Blood i gefnogi Rhaglen Addysg Hyrwyddwyr Gwaed Ifanc yr elusen, a chefnogaeth un-i-un ar ffurf hyfforddiant a datblygiad gyrfaol.

Yn gynharach eleni, dyfarnwyd statws Efydd i’r Coleg gan y Cynllun Cydnabod Cyflogwyr Amddiffyn (ERS), sy’n brawf o ymrwymiad diwyro’r Coleg i feithrin diwylliant o gynwysoldeb. Mae Coleg Penybont nid yn unig wedi addo cefnogi cymuned y Lluoedd Arfog trwy ddarparu cyfleoedd addysgol ond, wrth dderbyn dyfarniad Efydd gan yr ERS, wedi dangos bod ei werthoedd yn cyd-fynd â’r Cyfamod. At hynny, mae’r Coleg wedi ymrwymo i fod yn gyflogwr croesawgar i’r Lluoedd Arfog ac mae’n croesawu ceisiadau gan aelodau o’r gymuned amddiffyn, gan gynnwys milwyr wrth gefn, hyfforddwyr a phartneriaid personél milwrol.

Llofnodwyd Cyfamod y Lluoedd Arfog yn y digwyddiad gan Viv Buckley, Pennaeth a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol Coleg Penybont, a Simon Weston CBE, Noddwr Active4Blood.

“Rwy’n falch dros ben o’r bartneriaeth rhwng Coleg Penybont a’r Lluoedd Arfog, gan arwain at lofnodi Cyfamod y Lluoedd Arfog a’n Dyfarniad Efydd. Mae lansiad y rhaglen TEACH yn ddim ond y cam cyntaf o ran ein hymrwymiad i gefnogi cyn-filwyr, ac rwy’n llawn cyffro am yr holl fentrau sydd gennym ar y gweill i barhau â’r gwaith pwysig yma.”
