Our Adult Community Learning (ACL) courses are designed to support both personal and professional growth by helping you develop essential skills for everyday life, the workplace or as a gateway to further education.
We offer a wide range of subjects, to build literacy, numeracy, digital/IT skills, employability, and life skills. With courses such as Mathematics for Parents, Computers and digital learning, Languages, Cake Making, Creative Writing, Art, and more!
Whether you want to improve your maths, gain confidence in skills, ease back into education with a relaxed, pressure-free course, or simply connect with others through learning in the community, our courses are designed to help you achieve your goals in a welcoming and supportive environment.
We offer a range of levels including Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2.
Courses are held at several community venues such as Bridgend Campus, Pencoed Campus, Maesteg Town Hall, Litchard Primary School, Bryntirion Comprehensive School, The Bridge Community Hub, Pencoed Library, and Bryngarw House.

We are collecting expressions of interest for funded adult sociology and law courses. We hope to start these courses in the academic year beginning September 2026.

Our Adult Community Learning courses are designed to help you continually develop, however, to meet funding body requirements, learners cannot receive funding for repeated units. If you wish to repeat the same unit, a non-refundable fee of £150 + VAT (£180) will apply, and you will be unable to receive a second formal qualification for that unit.
Similarly, learners who do not meet the initial funding criteria can still enrol for the same fee and will receive the qualification upon successful completion.
**Applications are still welcome during the first few weeks of the course, even after it has begun.**
