This course focuses on developing creative writing skills, specifically the use of imagery and autobiographical writing. Participants will learn to effectively convey their feelings and moods through descriptive narratives, employing literary devices like similes and metaphors. The unit also explores the power of imagery in creative writing, using published works as examples. Learners will then apply these techniques to create their own autobiographical episode, recounting a personal experience or series of events. Throughout the writing process, emphasis is placed on the correct use of punctuation, spelling, and grammar, including proper tense usage, comma placement, capitalization, paragraphing, and spelling accuracy.
