Japanese (Conversational) Foundation (Level 1)
Have you ever wanted to learn a new language for your travels, or simply as a rewarding new hobby? This foundational course in conversational Japanese is designed to give you the skills and confidence to speak and understand the language in everyday situations. It focuses purely on practical, spoken communication, helping you connect with others and enjoy the process of building a completely new skill at your own pace.
Sign Language - Foundation (Level 1 - Phase 1)
This unit introduces learners to the fundamentals of British Sign Language (BSL), focusing on the alphabet, conveying personal details, and using greetings. Participants will develop the ability to recognize and produce the signs for each letter of the alphabet, form words, and use BSL to share and understand personal information. They will also learn to use appropriate signs for greetings and responses.
Upon the completion of this unit, students will be awarded British Sign Language Level 1 from Agored Cymru
Sign Language - Foundation (Level 1 - Phase 2)
This course is designed to equip you with the essential skills to use British Sign Language (BSL) confidently in various everyday situations. You'll learn to engage in conversations covering personal introductions, food and drink, telling time, and asking for directions. All learning and assessment in this course will be conducted entirely in BSL, providing an immersive and practical learning experience.
Upon the completion of this unit, students will be awarded British Sign Language - Personal Information and Requests Level 1 from Agored Cymru
Spanish (Conversational) Foundation: Everyday Contexts (Level 1 - Phase 1)
This unit focuses on developing practical conversational skills in Spanish for everyday situations. Participants will learn to use polite social conventions, basic grammatical structures, and common expressions to communicate effectively in various contexts. The course covers key areas such as introductions, sharing personal information, discussing food and drink, and navigating shopping scenarios. Emphasis is placed on accurate pronunciation and the appropriate use of formal and informal language.
Upon the completion of this unit, students will be awarded Spanish: Applying Conversational Language Skills - Everyday Contexts and Needs Level 1 from Agored Cymru
Spanish (Conversational) Foundation: Places & Services (Level 1 - Phase 2)
This course focuses on developing practical conversational skills, emphasizing polite social conventions and simple grammatical structures for everyday situations. Participants will learn to interact effectively in various contexts, including asking for and giving information about locations, services, and problems. The unit covers key areas such as requesting directions, inquiring about places of interest, seeking assistance, and discussing common issues. Emphasis is placed on clear pronunciation and the appropriate use of formal and informal language.
Upon the completion of this unit, students will be awarded Spanish: Applying Conversational Language Skills - Places and Services Level 1 from Agored Cymru
