New Town Centre Campus

We have plans to open a new 12,901 sqm development in Bridgend Town Centre. This will encompass two new buildings at Cheapside that will provide exceptional teaching and learning facilities, including a theatre, hair and beauty salons, recording and dance studios, design workshops, and more.

The new development will relocate our facilities currently based at our Cowbridge Road Campus. Click play to view the flythrough video:

“We are excited about the aspirational plans to create a vibrant new town centre campus in the heart of Bridgend. Our ambition is to create a net-zero carbon building, with twenty-first century learning and teaching facilities for post-16 education in Bridgend, with community benefits including a 200-seat theatre space, a coffee shop and flexible meeting spaces.

“This investment, part funded by the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, will play a key role in the regeneration of Bridgend town centre, supporting local businesses and utilising public transport links into the town.”

Vivienne Buckley, Principal and CEO

Construction of our new Town Centre Campus is progressing steadily, with two prominent luffing cranes now a familiar sight on the Bridgend skyline. To provide a unique perspective on the development, a stunning 360-degree image of Bridgend town centre was captured from atop one of the cranes.
