If you are a parent, guardian, or caregiver, supporting your child’s transition into a more independent life after finishing school is a significant step for everyone involved. You are likely the most trusted source of information for your young learner, and we want to ensure that you have all the resources you need.

We provide state-of-the-art learning facilities, dedicated teaching staff, and a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring that all students receive the best support to succeed in their studies and be all that they can be. We want to ensure that our students gain more than just a qualification; they will have many other opportunities with us to meet new friends, get involved in new activities and develop important life skills.
Bridgend College offers a variety of educational pathways, including GCSEs, A-levels, certificates, diplomas, and apprenticeships. We also partner with several higher education providers to offer HE Certificates, Diplomas, and Foundation and Honours Degrees. Our popular Junior Apprenticeships programme provides 14 to 16-year-old learners with opportunities outside the traditional school setting. Along with a comprehensive educational offering, our centrally located campuses in Bridgend and Pencoed allow students across South Wales to access education
Most importantly, we are here to help and support our students on their learning journey. Our Student Services team can assist with transport and finance, as well as provide general information and advice on what itâs like to be a student at Bridgend College. Cyfleoedd, our careers hub, provides free and impartial advice to students to help them prepare for their next steps after college, by supporting them to achieve, progress and gain meaningful paid career opportunities.
If learning support is required, our excellent Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Team provides support for students with learning difficulties or disabilities who may require specific provision, often working closely with families to plan and implement personalised support.
Our award-winning Wellbeing Team can support all aspects of your young learnerâs wellbeing during their time at college. Whether they need guidance on important decisions or simply someone to listen to their concerns, the Team is here to assist every step of the way. There is also a full events calendar throughout the year, from our Freshersâ Fair to our Wellbeing Festival – there is plenty for students to get involved in.
