Leading with the emerging future in mind

Extraordinary leaders understand that no person, community or business survives without being resilient. The key to sustainability lies in enhancing the resilience of society with due regard and respect for nature; this is the ‘critical foundation’ on which business and lives are built and which provides a safe and just space for all of humanity. We all know that we are facing a climate and ecological emergency but we also know ‘exactly’ what we need to do to get on with the job.

Key Strategy

Greater influence at the national and international level; leading, innovating, pioneering and staying ahead of the curve

Key Strategy

A greater voice at the societal level; collaboration and partnerships with ethically-minded people and organisation

Key Strategy

Improving engagement and recognition with local communities; being an ‘anchor’ organisation; improving community and organisational resilience

Making the right choices and doing what we know is right

  1. Teaching and learning for a low carbon, circular economy, education for sustainability for everyone.
  2. Using creative marketing to lead change.
  3. We must get to net zero carbon emissions by 2030; this is the greatest global challenge and requires truly extraordinary leadership.
  4. Build more sustainable buildings, homes and places.
  5. Sustainable purchases; sustainable procurement and finance/accounting for sustainability; reducing pollution and waste in all its forms; ‘buying our way to a better world’.
  6. Restore nature; a ‘living; business purpose; create an extraordinary outside so that we can feel extraordinary inside.
  7. Ensuring inclusivity, equality of opportunity and access for all.
  8. Work with others to achieve common goals; partnerships and collaboration.
  9. Ensure the highest levels of health and well-being for all.
