Academies

Our academies provide learners with an enhanced programme of immersive skills, development and access to industry experts and mentors.

In addition to their learning programme, students accessing our academies benefit from weekly group and individual sessions in an environment that mirrors their industry of interest. Our academy students are exposed to a range of activities and specifically-designed programmes that help shape and develop talented individuals to truly be all that they can be.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Academy programme is an extracurricular opportunity to stretch and challenge students in all disciplines of singing, dance and acting. These additional sessions include workshops from visiting practitioners and give learners the opportunity to delve deeper into the wider world of theatre. Academy learners often form part of our ‘Academy Performance Company’ and perform at many college and external events.

Football Academy

Our Football Academy offers students the opportunity to develop as a player and as a person. We replicate the professionalism of the sport both on and off the pitch via the 3 weekly training sessions, fixtures and through course content. You will have a full and engaging timetable, two hours of strength and conditioning per week, and physiotherapy advice if required. You will be led by experienced coaches that will fully support your development and help you achieve your goals.

Rugby Academy

Our Rugby Academy will support you to flourish as a student and player. Our coaches are highly experienced and fully committed to developing you, both on and off the pitch. They will expose you to new experiences and learning to push you out of your comfort zone and increase your level of confidence. You will train 3 times per week as part of the Academy, attend two hours of strength and conditioning per week and have access to physiotherapy advice if required. The Rugby Academy is about passion for learning and playing the sport – if that’s you, come and join us!

Cyber Academy

The Cyber Academy is supported by Cyber College Cymru to help prepare for a career in Cyber Security. Working alongside industry specialists from organisations such as Admiral, Thales and Fujitsu you will be involved in a programme of skills workshops, challenges and briefings. You will also get to compete against other colleges in CFT (capture the flag) competitions.

In the second year of this programme, you also get the opportunity to gain an industry-recognised professional qualification that will not only increase your knowledge but enhance your CV for your next step into Higher Education, Apprenticeships or the workplace.
