Animal Care

We offer a range of courses within Animal Care for those who have a passion for animals. You may be interested in working in animal rescue, veterinary nursing, pet store management or animal care roles such as zoo work, pet sitting, grooming or general care, and our courses can help you work towards a career in these areas.

Courses combine a mix of practical and theory and you will be taught by industry experts. You will also have opportunities to learn from guest speakers and take part in trips and visits to see all that the animal care industry has to offer.

Our on-campus animal unit also has a range of large, small and exotic species including donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and a collection of exotics such as snakes, lizards and terrapins.

For these courses, we can provide in-class support for fluent Welsh speakers and learners from our dedicated Welsh Language Support Officer.
