New town centre campus public engagement event

On Wednesday 1 March, we will be holding a public engagement event in our town centre pop-up shop to outline plans for our new campus development.

Members of the Senior Leadership Team, along with Rio Architects, will be presenting an overview of the College’s ambitions, design concepts and sustainability goals for our new campus. After the presentation, there will be an informal opportunity for attendees to ask the panel questions about the project.

How to book onto a session

There will be three sessions throughout the afternoon held at our town centre pop-up shop – which are open to all:

  • 12.30pm
  • 2.30pm
  • 4.30pm

The College’s ambition is to create a net-zero carbon building, with twenty-first century learning and teaching facilities for post-16 education in Bridgend. Community benefits will include a 200-seat theatre space, a coffee shop and flexible meeting spaces amongst others.

These transformational plans represent a £50 million investment into the training of young people in Bridgend and members of the community who need opportunities to retrain and gain valuable employability skills. The investment will also reduce our environmental impact, with plans to connect to the new Bridgend district heat system.

Partly funded by the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning programme, the development will play a key role in the regeneration of Bridgend Town Centre, supporting local businesses and utilising public transport links into the town.
