New Chair appointed to the Governing Body
25/08/2026We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tomos Owen as the new Chair of our Governing Body.
Tomos has served as a member of the Governing Body since February 2025 and now takes on the role of Chair. He is currently Deputy Chief Executive of Oasis, a Cardiff-based charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers across Cardiff and South Wales. Tomos also served as a Trustee of the Bevan Foundation, a role that he has undertaken since July 2024.
With a background in law, Tomos has dedicated much of his career working in the third sector, promoting equality, inclusion and human rights. He brings a strong commitment to creating opportunities for others, reflecting the values at the heart of Bridgend College.
Tomos will take up this role following the resignation of Emma Adamson from the role of Chair.
