Bridgend College learners named as WorldSkills UK National Finalists
03/09/2026Eleven Bridgend College learners have secured a place at the WorldSkills UK National Finals 2026.
The finalists earned their place after impressing judges during the national qualifying rounds and will now compete against UKâs top learners in the skills competition finals this November.
Bridgend College finalists and their respective competition areas are:
- Daisy Chambers: Foundation Skills Digital
- Harry Morgan: Foundation Skills Enterprise
- Ivar Harris: Foundation Skills Enterprise
- Libby Parry: Foundation Skills Enterprise
- Richard Pugh: Foundation Skills Restaurant Service
- Tegan Thomas: Health & Social Care
- Kian Bailey: Industrial Robotics (Apprentice with SonyUK TEC)
- Ryan Oaten: Industrial Robotics (Apprentice with SonyUK TEC)
- Cody Knight: Landscaping
- David Thomas: Landscaping
- Robert Lewis: Landscaping
This yearâs WorldSkills UK National Finals will be hosted in Wales, with Bridgend College proud to be one of four host venues. A number of competitions will once again be held at our Pencoed Campus, welcoming competitors from across the UK.
WorldSkills UK is an annual competition that brings together the UK’s most talented learners and apprentices to compete in a wide range of technical and vocational disciplines, helping to develop and showcase high-level skills.
Success at the WorldSkills UK National Finals could also see learners selected to represent the UK at the international WorldSkills competition, which will take place in Japan, in 2028.
