We are pleased to announce that Jeff Greenidge has recently been appointed as Chair of the Governing Body at Bridgend College. Jeff is an experienced teacher, coach and leadership mentor who has worked across the education and training sector for a number of years.

With a track record of delivery performance, Jeff has been providing focussed consultancy and coaching to organisations with a drive for inclusion and diversity. As a board member for a number of organisations in the public and private sectors, including the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) and the UFI Voch Tech Trust, Jeff supports organisations to thrive through inclusive leadership to develop an inclusive and diverse organisational culture.

Most recently, Jeff is jointly employed as the Director for Diversity by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and Association of Colleges (AoC) and is responsible for driving plans to increase diversity within the Further Education (FE) workforce, particularly at senior levels, and promoting inclusive practice in colleges. Jeff is due to end this one-year appointment at the end of December 2021.

Simon Pirotte, Principal and CEO of Bridgend College said:

“We are delighted with the appointment of Jeff as Chair. Following the outstanding tenure of Paul Croke, Jeff will build on past successes with some exciting and innovative plans for the future.”

Simon Pirotte, Principal and CEO of Bridgend College

Jeff takes over from Paul Croke, who served at Bridgend College for 8 years. Former Vice-Chair, John Finch, and governor Kathy Lewis, also retired in October 2021 after a long-standing tenure on the Governing Body. All made a significant impact at the College, and were instrumental in the development of the STEAM Academy.

Bridgend College would like to welcome Jeff as Chair of the Governing Body and would also like to thank Paul, John and Kathy for their contributions and service and to wish them the best for the future.
