Mae Coleg Penybont wrth ei fodd o fod wedi cael ei gydnabod yng Ngwobrau Cynhwysiant mawreddog 2024, a gynhaliwyd yng Ngwesty’r Midland, Manceinion, ddydd Iau 28 Tachwedd 2024. Cynhaliwyd y digwyddiad gogoneddus gan Sean Fletcher, sy’n eiriolwr brwd dros amrywiaeth, ac sy’n fwyaf adnabyddus am gyflwyno’r rhaglenni Good Morning Britain and Sunday Morning Live ar ITV.

Mae’r Gwobrau Cynhwysiant, sy’n dathlu eu pen-blwydd yn 10 oed, yn arddangos sefydliadau ac unigolion sy’n harneisio gweithlu wirioneddol gynhwysol, gan gydnabod ymdrechion sylweddol y rheiny sy’n wedi rhagori yn eu hymrwymiad i gydraddoldeb a chynhwysiant ar draws yr holl feysydd amrywiaeth.

Enillodd y Coleg Wobr y Prosiect Symudedd Cymdeithasol, sy’n dathlu sefydliadau sydd wedi datblygu a gweithredu prosiectau i annog symudedd cymdeithasol a chyfranogiad cymunedol. Mae’r wobr hon yn cydnabod ac yn amlygu effaith rhaglenni cyflogaeth â chymorth y Coleg, sy’n galluogi pobl ifanc sydd ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol ac anableddau i gymryd rhan mewn interniaeth drochi un-flwyddyn, gan ddatblygu’r sgiliau a’r hyder sydd eu hangen arnynt i symud ymlaen i gyflogaeth barhaus ac ystyrlon â thâl ar ddiwedd y rhaglen. Mae cyfraddau cyflogaeth sy’n dilyn y rhaglen yn uwch o lawer na’r cyfraddau ar gyfer pobl o oedran gweithio sydd ag anableddau ac sydd mewn cyflogaeth yn y Deyrnas Unedig.

Fel rhan o’r un seremoni wobrwyo, llwyddodd y Coleg hefyd i gyrraedd Rhestr 50 Cyflogwr Gorau’r DU 2024-25, gan ddod yn safle 44. Mae’r rhestr IT50, a ddetholwyd gan Inclusive Companies, yn cydnabod ac yn rhestru’r sefydliadau sydd fwyaf cyson drwy’r sefydliad cyfan ac sy’n cwmpasu pob math o amrywiaeth.

Dywedodd Paul Sesay, Prif Swyddog Gweithredol Inclusive Companies:

“Dros y 10 mlynedd diwethaf ers ein digwyddiad Gwobrau Cynhwysol cyntaf, rydym wedi dod yn bell o ran y polisïau a’r arferion sy’n cael eu gweithredu i gyflawni amrywiaeth, cynhwysiant a thegwch, fodd bynnag, ni allwn orffwys ar ein bri gan fod mwy o waith i’w wneud o hyd i yrru’r neges amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant yn ei blaen. Trwy roi llwyfan i’n henillwyr rannu eu gwaith a’u cyflawniadau rhagorol, rwy’n gobeithio y bydd y Gwobrau Cynhwysol yn annog eraill i ddilyn eu hesiampl ac ysbrydoli newid parhaol.”

Llun: O’r chwith i’r dde - Tunji Akintokun MBE (LinkedIn), Ash Palmisciano (actor ar y teledu), Joe Baldwin (Dirprwy Bennaeth - Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol, Coleg Penybont), Viv Buckley (Pennaeth a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol, Coleg Penybont), Sarah Farmer (E.ON)

Dywedodd Viv Buckley, Pennaeth a Phrif Weithredwr Coleg Penybont:

“Mae ein staff a’n myfyrwyr yn brawf o werthoedd a chenhadaeth y coleg, sy’n sail i bopeth rydym yn ymdrechu i’w wneud. Rydym wedi ymrwymo i greu man dysgu cynhwysol lle mae pawb yn teimlo’n ddiogel ac yn gallu ffynnu. Mae’r cyflawniadau hyn yn amlygu ymhellach ein taith barhaus wrth i ni geisio meithrin sefydliad teg sy’n canolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn.”
