Cystadleuaeth Sgiliau Cymru 2024: Coleg Penybont yn ennill gyda 24 o fedalau

Roedd myfyrwyr Coleg Penybont yn fuddugol yn seremoni wobrwyo Cystadleuaeth Sgiliau Cymru 2024 neithiwr, gan ennill cyfanswm ardderchog o 24 o fedalau. Enillwyd gwobrau drwyddi draw, gyda’r myfyrwyr yn hawlio 8 Aur, 3 Arian ac 14 Efydd.

Cyn y seremoni, cynhaliodd y Coleg barti dathlu yn ei Academi STEAM cyn teithio i Ganolfan Gynadledda Ryngwladol (ICC) Cymru ar gyfer y prif ddigwyddiad. Roedd hwn yn gyfle i ddod â myfyrwyr y Coleg, eu teuluoedd a’u tiwtoriaid ynghyd i ddathlu’r ymdrechion, sgiliau a pherfformiad rhagorol a arddangoswyd gan y myfyrwyr yn ystod y rhagbrofion.

Mae Cystadleuaeth Sgiliau Cymru, sydd wedi’i hariannu gan Lywodraeth Cymru, yn gyfres flynyddol o ragbrofion cystadleuol ar draws ystod o feysydd galwedigaethol, sy’n cael eu cynnal rhwng Ionawr a Chwefror. Mae myfyrwyr yn cystadlu yn eu categorïau dewisol, gan roi cyfle iddynt arddangos a meincnodi eu sgiliau yn erbyn eu cyfoedion. Eleni, cynhaliwyd 64 o gystadlaethau unigol a oedd yn cwmpasu sgiliau o bedwar sector allweddol: Adeiladu a Seilwaith; Peirianneg a Thechnoleg; Iechyd, Lletygarwch a Ffordd o Fyw; a Digidol, Busnes a Chreadigol.

Mae Cystadleuaeth Sgiliau Cymru, sy’n cael ei chynnal gan y prosiect Ysbrydoli Rhagoriaeth Sgiliau yng Nghymru, yn llwyfan i gyfranogwyr gystadlu mewn digwyddiadau cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol uchel eu parch fel WorldSkills UK, EuroSkills a WorldSkills International.
