Cyflwyno Cymrodoriaethau i Jeff Greenidge a’r Athro Tracy Myhill OBE

Cyflwynwyd Cymrodoriaethau Coleg Penybont 2024 yn ystod ein Seremonïau Graddio Addysg Uwch ar Gampws Pencoed yn ddiweddar.

Cafodd cyn-Gadeirydd y Corff Llywodraethu, Jeff Greenidge, ei anrhydeddu yn ystod seremoni gyntaf y dydd i gydnabod ei wasanaethau i’r sector Addysg Bellach yng Nghymru a’i ymroddiad i’r agenda cynhwysiant ac amrywiaeth.

Dechreuodd gyrfa Jeff mewn addysg wrth iddo weithio fel athro ieithoedd modern ac addysg gorfforol. Ers gadael y proffesiwn, mae Jeff wedi gwasanaethu fel Cyfarwyddwr Amrywiaeth ar gyfer y Ffederasiwn Addysg a Hyfforddiant ac wedi rhannu ei arbenigedd helaeth ar sawl Bwrdd. Ymunodd Jeff a Chorff Llywodraethu Coleg Penybont ym mis Ionawr 2021, ac fe ddaeth yn Gadeirydd ym mis Rhagfyr y flwyddyn honno. Yn ystod ei gyfnod yn y rôl, fe wnaeth Jeff oruchwylio arolwg diweddaraf y Coleg gan Estyn, a dynnodd sylw at y diwylliant cadarn, cefnogol a chynhwysol i ddysgwyr a staff. Mae Jeff yn parhau i fod yn eiriolwr cryf dros amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant mewn addysg, wrth iddo wasanaethu fel Cyfarwyddwr Amrywiaeth a Llywodraethu i Gymdeithas y Colegau (AoC), yn ogystal ag ymgymryd â rôl newydd a chyffrous fel aelod bwrdd i Medr, y Comisiwn Addysg Drydyddol ac Ymchwil newydd-anedig.

Yn ail seremoni’r dydd, fe anrhydeddwyd yr Athro Tracy Myhill OBE i gydnabod ei gwasanaeth yn y sector cyhoeddus ac am ei harweinyddiaeth gynhwysol eithriadol. Mae Tracy, sydd wedi mwynhau gyrfa hir a llwyddiannus yn y GIG am 36 mlynedd, o’i rôl gyntaf fel swyddog clerigol i’w swydd fel Prif Weithredwr, hefyd yn broffesiynolyn Adnoddau Dynol profiadol sy’n ysbrydoli pobl o bob cefndir i gyflawni eu nodau o ran arweinyddiaeth. Yn dilyn ei hymddeoliad fel Prif Weithredwr Gwasanaeth Ambiwlans Cymru a Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Bae Abertawe, aeth Tracy ati i sefydlu gwasanaeth ymgynghori, lle mae hi bellach yn cynnig cymorth i unigolion ac i sefydliadau er mwyn galluogi pobl i fod y gorau y gallant fod.

Cydnabuwyd effaith Tracy drwy nifer o wobrau gan gynnwys rhai gan Sefydliad y Cyfarwyddwyr, Cymdeithas Rheoli Pobl Gofal Iechyd, Stonewall Cymru, a Gwobrau Arwain Cymru. Yn 2021, rhoddwyd OBE i Tracy am ei gwasanaethau i’r GIG fel rhan o restr Anrhydeddau Pen-blwydd y Frenhines.

Cyflwynwyd Cymrodoriaethau Jeff a Tracy gan Emma Adamson, Cadeirydd Corff Llywodraethu Coleg Penybont.

“Anrhydedd oedd cyflwyno Cymrodoriaethau i Jeff a Tracy yn ein Seremoni Graddio. Maen nhw wedi dylanwadu ar lawer o bobl yn ystod eu gyrfaoedd hir a llwyddiannus, ac nid oedd eu geiriau ysbrydoledig i’n graddedigion, staff ac ymwelwyr yn eithriad. Maen nhw’n wirioneddol angerddol am gydraddoldeb, amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant, sy’n cyd-fynd yn agos iawn â’n gwerthoedd ni yma yng Ngholeg Penybont.”

Viv Buckley, Pennaeth a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol

Ein Seremoni Graddio Addysg Uwch yw un o uchafbwyntiau’r flwyddyn, lle rydym yn dathlu cyflawniadau ein myfyrwyr dros y flwyddyn academaidd ddiwethaf. Ynghyd â staff y Coleg, fe ddaeth Llywodraethwyr ac Aelodau o’r Senedd, gan gynnwys Huw Irranca-Davies AS, y Dirprwy Brif Weinidog ac Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Newid Hinsawdd a Materion Gwledig, a Dr Altaf Hussain AS, Aelod Rhanbarthol y Senedd dros Orllewin De Cymru, i’r digwyddiad. Yn ogystal, roedd y Cynghorydd Paul Davies, Maer Cyngor Tref Pencoed, hefyd yn bresennol i ddathlu llwyddiannau’r myfyrwyr.
