Independent Living Skills (Full-time)

The Independent living skills courses are designed to promote learners to achieve their individual outcomes with a supportive and enriching environment. Each course focuses on the four pillars of learning independent living skills, community, health and wellbeing and employability.

The course will be structured to promote skills leading to further study at the college or towards working in the community. Where appropriate, a small amount of accredited learning will also be built in.

Overview and modules

Each route will have progression through year groups to ensure learners have sufficient time to meet their individual needs.

Depending on prior learning and achievement, learners will be placed on the appropriate starting point to support their individualised journey.

The course content will be structured around the four pillars of learning to meet these individual needs.

Entry requirements

Suitability will be assessed via the Additional Learning Needs panel and transition process.

Assessment methods

You will have a mixture of classroom and off-site teaching and assessment.
