Yn ddiweddar cynhaliodd Coleg Penybont un o ddigwyddiadau mwyaf disgwyliedig y flwyddyn academaidd, gan ddathlu cyflawniadau ei fyfyrwyr.

Roedd Seremoni Gwobrwyo Flynyddol 2023, a gynhaliwyd yn Academi STEAM y Coleg ar 8 Mehefin, yn cydnabod ac yn anrhydeddu llwyddiannau eithriadol y myfyrwyr.

Yn ystod y noson, cyflwynwyd 26 o wobrau nid yn unig i fyfyrwyr a oedd wedi dangos dawn, angerdd a chymhelliant sylweddol yn ystod eu hastudiaethau, ond hefyd i fyfyrwyr a oedd wedi cyfrannu mewn modd ehangach at fywyd yn y Coleg.

Daeth dros 100 o bobl i’r digwyddiad, gan gynnwys teuluoedd myfyrwyr, tiwtoriaid o’r Coleg, cynghorwyr, a Maer newydd Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, y Cynghorydd William Kendall. Hefyd yn cefnogi’r dathliad oedd yr Aelodau o’r Senedd, Luke Fletcher AS ac Altaf Hussain AS.

Yn dilyn cyflwyniad y gwobrau ar gyfer adrannau a rolau penodol, rhoddwyd y ddwy wobr olaf i gydnabod cyrhaeddiad ac effaith ar lefel Coleg cyfan.

Eleni, cyflwynwyd y wobr ‘Ymrwymiad i Astudio’ i Lesley Lewis, myfyriwr sydd wedi dangos penderfyniad a ffocws eithriadol drwy gydol ei hastudiaethau dros y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf, gan gefnogi ei chyfoedion hefyd. Wrth astudio’r Radd Sylfaen mewn Seicoleg, mae hi wedi cynhyrchu gwaith o safon ragorol, ac fe fydd yn mynd ymlaen i astudio’r radd BSc (Anrh) Seicoleg lawn ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru ym mis Medi.

Cyflwynwyd y wobr ‘Dysgwr y Flwyddyn’, a elwir hefyd yn Wobr y Pennaeth, i Kimberley Thomas. Rhoddwyd y wobr fawreddog hon iddi i gydnabod ei hagwedd a’i chyflawniadau rhagorol wrth astudio’r Diploma Estynedig Lefel 3 mewn Celfyddydau Creadigol, Animeiddio, a Chyfathrebu Graffig, yn ogystal â’i chyfraniad sylweddol i fywyd yn y Coleg yn ei rôl fel llysgennad i’r myfyrwyr.

Yn ogystal â gwobrau’r myfyrwyr, cyflwynwyd Gwobr Partneriaeth Cyflogwyr i Phs Group. Partnerodd y Coleg â’r sefydliad am y tro cyntaf yn 2021 fel rhan o DFN Project SEARCH, elusen sy’n helpu oedolion ifanc sydd ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol, awtistiaeth neu’r ddau i gael hyfforddiant a phrofiad gwaith ar y safle. Mae lefel y gefnogaeth y mae Phs Group wedi’i darparu i’n myfyrwyr ac i’r Coleg wedi bod yn rhyfeddol, ac mae’r brwdfrydedd a ddangoswyd ganddynt tuag at y cynllun interniaeth o fudd mawr i’r bobl ifanc sy’n rhan o’r cynllun.

Hoffem unwaith eto longyfarch yr enillwyr canlynol ar eu gwobrau haeddiannol:
