Coleg Penybont yn cipio Aur yng Ngwobrau Heist

Mae Coleg Penybont wrth ei fodd o fod wedi ennill gwobr Aur am y Profiad Digwyddiad Gorau yng Ngwobrau Heist eleni, sy’n dathlu rhagoriaeth o ran Marchnata a Chyfathrebu mewn Addysg ledled y DU.

Cynhaliwyd y seremoni yn Kimpton Clocktower Hotel ym Manceinion, a mynychodd dros 600 o broffesiynolion o’r sectorau Addysg Bellach (AB) ac Addysg Uwch (AU). Ar draws yr holl gategorïau, roedd Coleg Penybont yn un o ddim ond pedwar coleg AB yn y Deyrnas Unedig i fod ar y rhestr fer, ac yn un o ddim ond tri sefydliad o Gymru, ochr yn ochr â Phrifysgol Abertawe a Phrifysgol Bangor.

Rhoddwyd y Coleg ar y rhestr fer ar gyfer y wobr yn dilyn ei waith y llynedd yn Skills Cymru, digwyddiad sgiliau, gyrfaoedd a phrentisiaethau blaenllaw yng Nghaerdydd. Trefnodd y Coleg ei stondin ar ffurf siop gyrfaoedd lle’r oedd myfyrwyr yn gallu archwilio’r amrywiaeth eang o gyrsiau a phrentisiaethau oedd ar gael.

Bwriad y stondin oedd cynnig profiad hollol ddwyieithog a rhyngweithiol i’r mynychwyr wrth fod yn ystyriol o’r effaith amgylcheddol, yn unol â gweledigaeth y Coleg i fod yn sero net erbyn 2030. Oherwydd y ffactorau allweddol hyn, chwiliodd y tîm am ateb digidol.

“Prosiect creadigol gwych a gyflwynodd rywbeth arloesol ar gyllideb fach. Canmolodd y beirniaid Goleg Penybont am gael effaith wirioneddol a darparu profiad gwych, a oedd yn cyd-fynd ag egwyddorion cynaliadwyedd cyffredinol y Coleg.”

Sylwadau’r beirniaid, Heist Awards

Fe wnaeth y stondin, a oedd yn brosiect cwbl gydweithredol, ofyn am sgiliau arbenigol o dimau gwahanol ar draws y Coleg. Trwy roi datrysiad TG pwrpasol ar waith, roedd ymwelwyr yn gallu mwynhau profiad di-dor a phersonoledig yn y digwyddiad.

Dimensiwn ychwanegol i’r stondin oedd iddi gefnogi mudiadau elusennol, gan efelychu’r profiad archfarchnad ymhellach. Roedd pob ymwelydd yn gallu dewis elusen i’w chefnogi o restr o dri: Head Above The Waves, YoungMinds a Llamau, gyda phob un o’r tri yn cyd-fynd ag amcan craidd y Coleg o gefnogi pobl ifanc. Gwnaeth y Coleg gyfraniad i bob elusen yn dilyn y digwyddiad.

“Mae’n fraint i ni gael ein cydnabod ymhlith cymaint o sefydliadau AU – sy’n dyst i waith caled a gweledigaeth arloesol y tîm. Rydyn ni bob amser yn ceisio rhoi anghenion y myfyrwyr yn gyntaf, a lluniwyd y siop gyrfaoedd gyda nhw mewn golwg, gan arwain at ffordd hwyliog ac ysgogol i ymwelwyr wireddu eu nodau.”

George Mattock, Arweinydd Creadigol yng Ngholeg Penybont

Mae Gwobrau Heist yn seremoni flynyddol a gynhelir gan Havas People – Education, sydd wedi cefnogi’r sector addysg ers dros 30 mlynedd. Gweler y rhestr lawn o gategorïau ac enillwyr yn llyfryn enillwyr Gwobrau Heist 2023.

Bydd Coleg Penybont yn dychwelyd i Skills Cymru yn ddiweddarach eleni, pan fydd yn cael ei gynnal yn Arena Motorpoint Caerdydd ar 10 ac 11 Hydref.
