Coleg Penybont yn cael cydnabyddiaeth hynod fel cyflogwr da

Cafodd Coleg Penybont ei gynnwys yn 25 ‘Cwmni Mawr Gorau i Weithio iddynt yn y Deyrnas Unedig’, gan fod yn rhif 22 yn y rhestr Cwmnïau Gorau a gyhoeddwyd ddydd Gwener diwethaf.

Y Coleg yw’r unig sefydliad addysgol yn rhestr y 25 uchaf, gan hefyd ennill rhif 8 yng nghategori ‘Cwmnïau Gorau i Weithio iddynt yng Nghymru’ ac yn rhif 3 yn y Deyrnas Unedig yn y categori ‘Addysg a Hyfforddiant’.

Er ychydig flynyddoedd anhygoel o heriol i’r sector a’r wlad yn ei chyfanrwydd, mae’r Coleg wedi ymroi i ddarparu cymorth a gofal rhagorol i’w staff gwych a aeth yr ail filltir i sicrhau fod myfyrwyr wedi derbyn y profiadau addysgol gorau posibl.

Yn gynharach eleni cafodd y Coleg hefyd statws aur ym Mynegai Llesiant Gweithle Mind ar gyfer 2021/22, yr unig ddarparydd addysg yn y Deyrnas Unedig i ennill aur, ac un o ddim ond tri sefydliad yng Nghymru. Mae’r mynegai yn cydnabod ymrwymiad y Coleg i ymwreiddio iechyd meddwl mewn polisi ac ymarfer.

Mae’r Coleg yn parhau i fuddsoddi mewn cymorth llesiant i’w staff gyda chynlluniau yn cynnwys ei gaffe menopause, côr staff a mannau arbennig lles staff. Mae lles staff yn hyrwyddo gwaith ar draws y sefydliad gan gynnig wyneb cyfarwydd a chefnogol i staff ac maent hefyd wedi dilyn hyfforddiant Cymorth Cyntaf Iechyd Meddwl i sicrhau fod ganddynt y dulliau a’r ddealltwriaeth sydd ei angen i helpu.

Dywedodd Simon Pirotte OBE, Pennaeth a Phrif Weithredwr Coleg Penybont:

“Rwy’n anhygoel o falch o daith gyson llwyddiant y Coleg; mae sicrhau rhagoriaeth yn arbennig, ond mae angen ymrwymiad ac ymroddiad staff, llywodraethwyr a phartneriaid anhygoel sy’n creu amgylchedd cynhwysol a gofalgar i gynnal hynny a gwella. Mae’r gydnabyddiaeth hon hefyd yn cadarnhau’r canfyddiadau gwych y rhoddwyd sylw iddo yn adroddiad arolwg Estyn, a gyhoeddwyd ym mis Gorffennaf.

Mae ein cynllun strategol yn amlinellu ein huchelgais i gael ei gydnabod fel ‘Cwmni Gorau’ 10 uchaf ac rwy’n falch o’r cynnydd yr ydym yn parhau i wneud tuag at y nod yma.”

Dywedodd Simon Pirotte OBE, Pennaeth a Phrif Weithredwr Coleg Penybont:

Dywedodd Catherine Luff, Pennaeth Adnoddau Dynol Coleg Penybont:

“Mae’r Coleg yn lle gwych i weithio ynddo ac rydym yn ymdrechu i gael dull gweithredu sy’n canolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn ym mhopeth a wnawn. Rydym eisiau i’n pobl deimlo eu bod yn perthyn ac y gallant fod yn nhw eu hunain, mewn amgylchedd sy’n gefnogol ac sy’n eu galluogi i fod yn bopeth y gallant fod.

Mae’r gydnabyddiaeth ardderchog yma yn dangos y cynnydd pwysig a wnawn gyda’n gilydd ac yn dangos y coleg fel cyflogwr blaenllaw o ddewis yn y Deyrnas Unedig.”
