We are thrilled to have been awarded the title of Outstanding Training Provider of the Year for large organisations at the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) most recent awards. The 75th-anniversary President’s Dinner, held at the Natural History Museum in London on 22 November, recognised exceptional leaders from around the UK.
The award recognises the College’s Work-based Learning Team who actively promote and champion the CMI and the benefits it provides for individuals and organisations.
“We are absolutely delighted to win this prestigious award which recognises our outstanding work in supporting leadership development. To accept this award, alongside the very best leaders from across the UK, is an absolute honour. Our brilliant leadership and management delivery team, led by Michelle Corker, supports employer partners to develop exceptional leaders at all levels within their organisations. The CMI suite of qualifications and Chartered Manager progression route provides a great framework from which we tailor our support.”
Matthew Williams, Vice Principal Work-based Learning and Commercial Activity at Bridgend College
Bridgend College works with organisations including TATA Steel and South Wales Police to develop collaborative delivery models, with many students progressing successfully within their roles.
Professional learning and leadership development is also at the heart of the College’s strategic vision. Leaders and aspiring leaders at the College take part in its award-winning Person-Centred Leadership programme, with many progressing to undertake formal leadership training via the CMI.
“Winning this award is a great testament to the talent, dedication and passion of our people, and our commitment to ensure we enable all our students to be all that they can be”.
