Arwain y ffordd ar gyfer iechyd a lles meddwl gydag ennill gwobr bwysig

Rydym yn hynod falch i gyhoeddi fod Coleg Penybont wedi ennill Gwobr Beacon Iechyd a Lles Meddwl Grŵp NCON y Gymdeithas Colegau  2021.

Cyhoeddwyd enilllwyr y gwobrau blynyddol ar gyfer colegau addysg bellach a chweched dosbarth gan David Hughes, Prif Weithredwr y Gymdeithas Colegau, mewn digwyddiad dathlu yng Nghynhadledd Flynyddol rithiol y Gymdeithas Colegau ar 8 Chwefror.

Mae’r wobr genedlaethol hon yn dathlu’r gwaith pwysig a wnaethom, ac yr ydym yn parhau i’w wneud, i gefnogi iechyd a lles meddwl ein staff a’n myfyrwyr. Fel coleg, rydym wedi ymdrechu i ddatblygu amgylchedd cefnogol a diogel lle gall staff a myfyrwyr drafod iechyd meddwl yn agored a chael mynediad i ystod eang o wasanaethau. Nod ein strategaeth Llesiant yw creu amgylchedd gwaith a dysgu lle gall pawb ffynnu a chyflawni eu potensial llawn a “bod yn bopeth y gallant fod.”

Dywedodd Simon Pirotte, Pennaeth y Cyngor:

“Yn awr, yn fwy nag erioed, mae gofalu am iechyd meddwl ein staff a dysgwyr mor bwysig. Rydym wrth ein bodd i ennill y wobr bwysig hon sy’n cydnabod angerdd ac ymrwymiad ein staff wrth fynd yr ail filltir i gefnogi ein dysgwyr a’i gilydd yn ystod y cyfnod anghyffredin hwn.”

Dywedodd Sam Morgan, Cyfarwyddwr Pobl y Coleg:

Dywedodd Sam Morgan, Cyfarwyddwr Pobl y Coleg:

“Mae hon yn gamp wych ac yn adlewyrchu gwaith rhyfeddol pobl ar bob lefel ar draws y Coleg. Mae’r ffaith fod pawb yn chwarae eu rhan, yn cynnwys ein Llywodraethwyr, yn golygu y gallwn yn wirioneddol ymwreiddio llesiant yn ffabrig y Coleg.”

Dywedodd Sam Morgan,

Mesurwn effaith ein hymyriadau a’n cefnogaeth drwy arolygon cyson ymhlith staff a myfyrwyr, ynghyd â dialog barhaus a dadansoddiad o ddata allweddol. Mae gwybodaeth o wahanol arolygon, yn cynnwys arolwg Llesiant Gweithle Mind ac arolwg 100 Uchaf The Times, yn sicrhau ein bod yn cyflwyno cynllun gweithredu holl gynhwysfawr.

Dywedodd David Hughes, Prif Weithredwr y Gymdeithas Colegau:

“Mae Gwobrau Beacon y Gymdeithas Colegau yn dangos yn union pa mor bwysig yw colegau i bob cymuned a pham fod pobl yn eu gwerthfawrogi. Mae’r wobr yn cydnabod y cydweithio, cymorth ac addysg a hyfforddiant gorau oll a gyflwynir gan staff addysgu arbenigol. Mae gwaith y colegau buddugol a’r rhai a gafodd gymeradwyaeth uchel a’u partneriaethau yn dangos pa mor hanfodol yw colegau wrth ddarparu gweithlu’r dyfodol a’u cymunedau lleol a rhanbarthol.”

Dywedodd David Hughes

Rydym mor falch o’r llwyddiant gwych hwn a hoffem ddiolch i bawb sy’n gysylltiedig am eu cefnogaeth a’u hymrwymiad parhaus i wella lles meddwl ein staff a’n myfyrwyr. Bu’n ymdrech tîm wych.
