Performing Arts students at Bridgend College benefit from superb, purpose built facilities including a Theatre, dance studio, music studios and music technology suites. This is all designed to make your teaching environment as realistic as possible in preparation for a career in the Performing Arts industry.
Students will be involved in a wide range of performances throughout the academic year ranging from a Christmas pantomime to musicals to plays to showcase performances during corporate events such as the College's Annual Awards Ceremony.
The department also offers the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification alongside the National Diploma in Performing Arts (Performance), which accredits many of the extra curricular activities students routinely get involved with such as community work, enterprise activities and learning either Welsh or a modern foreign language.
Staff are highly qualified and industry experienced, with 80% of Performing Arts staff currently working professionally in the industry. This ensures that they bring first hand, up to date knowledge to their teaching and can pass on invaluable advice and support to their students.
