- From this September 2012, Bridgend College will be delivering their Cache Level 3 Children’s Care Learning & Development[[sitetree_link id=137]]programme in both English and Welsh, allowing Welsh speaking students from local Comprehensives such as Ysgol Llanhari and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd and other Welsh medium Schools in the area to continue learning through the medium of Welsh into further education. - Bridgend College hosted the prestigious Skills Competition Wales Final and Worldskills Regional Heat on 27 April 2012, welcoming budding IT professionals to compete in one of four categories - Cisco Network Technician, Microsoft Applications Specialist, Microsoft IT Technician and Web Design, with Bridgend College IT students winning a number of the awards. - Gold for Tata Steel Apprentice

- Tata Steel electrical apprentice and Bridgend College student Daniel Hughes won the gold medal at the Welsh Final of the UK Skill M&E (mechanical and electrical) competition held at Gower College, Swansea. Daniel has now qualified for a place at the All UK Finals at the NEC in Birmingham from 15-17 November 2012. Read more >>
