University of Glamorgan

We have a partnership agreement with the University of Glamorgan that means you can study a Glamorgan course here at the College. You'll be a University of Glamorgan student and get a university qualification, but with the convenience of studying locally. You can choose from a range of undergraduate qualifications including an HNC, HND or a Foundation Degree.

A key feature of our partnership with the University of Glamorgan is that you will be encouraged to progress to the University to complete your studies and obtain an Honours degree.  Our results at Bridgend on higer education courses are excellent and students who progress to Glamorgan enjoy their studies and are extremely successful in obtaining rewarding careers after they graduate.

Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC)

The strong links between Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC) and Bridgend College have been nurtured and developed over many years. These links have been further strengthened by creation of the FE2HE partnership.

Bridgend College is a key member of this consortium to create and deliver high quality Higher Education programmes as an FE partner. 

The nature of the partnership allows students to study Cardiff Metropolitan University programmes locally at Bridgend College with the option to progess to the University after finishing their programme to 'top up' their qualification to a full degree. Other programmes at Bridgend College are full degree programmes which allow students to complete the full degree locally.

University of Wales, Newport

University of Wales, Newport is proud to work with Bridgend College in a Partnership arrangement which means that you can study any of the available courses at your local college and gain a qualification from the University of Wales, Newport.

When you enrol as a student on one of the courses we offer through Bridgend College you will become eligible for a range of benefits and support including access and borrowing rights from our Library Services.

Our Partnership arrangement means that lecturers at Bridgend College meet regularly with University staff in order to keep the standards of learning and teaching high and give you the best of both worlds - a University education delivered in your local college. 

Students often tell us that the course they took in their local college helped them to gain a great deal of confidence as well as skills and knowledge, and many of our past partnership students have gone on to progress to higher levels of study at the University.  You will be very welcome to be part of our University community and we will offer you support and encouragement to progress in your education and in your career.
